Manic Monday

Does anyone else get the Manic Monday song stuck in their head.... every Monday?! No, just me?

How was your weekend?

Benjamin met with a physical therapist on Saturday morning for his torticollis.  She showed us some exercises to do with him everyday.  He has shown a huge improvement already.  Plus, we have fun doing the exercises together!
We also were told that the Rock N Play Sleeper isn't the best thing for him to be sleeping in and he should be flat on his back.  We are transitioning him to his crib.  We are going to miss you Rock N Play Sleeper!
It has been a long couple of nights but I'm sure he will adjust quickly.  He naps in his crib fine at daycare and sleeps the first 3 - 4 hour stretch fine at night.  Right now I'm having trouble getting him to stay asleep when I put him back down after his first middle of the night feedings.  I was up with him for two hours in the middle of the night last night trying to get him to stay asleep in his crib.  Speaking of which, I know this kid can sleep 7 - 8 hour stretches, he's done it before.... was that just a tease?

He looks so cute sleeping in his crib.  He wakes up so happy.
Benjamin has also started drooling like crazy... like way more than usual and has started to enjoy chewing on some teething toys.  Not sure if he is teething or not but it's a possibility.
Or maybe he just thinks it is fun to make spit bubbles!
We introduced Benjamin to Sophie this weekend. You know, apparently the world's most loved giraffe.  I don't get it, but it sure is cute and Ben had fun with her.
Chloe had a rough start to her Monday. Waiting on the bus she tripped and fell and ripped her favorite purple pants!  I'm sure this was a start to a very horrible rotten day.  She has three other pair of purple pants but these were her favorite.  Poor kid.  It's so hard watching her get on the bus in tears.  I worried about her having a horrible day all day... but when I picked her up she was happy as can be, although still mouring the loss of her favorite pants.

R.I.P. purple pants.
Now she has been crying everyday because someone said her eyes looked green the other day instead of blue.  Apparently it would be the end of the world to have green eyes. (hmm, should I be offended?) But I still think she has amazing blue eyes.
I'm trying to explain to her that depending on what color you are wearing your eyes can look lighter or darker or greener or bluer!
She was excited to lose another tooth last night!

We did end up having quite the "manic Monday" after all. We came home from work and school to find 2 inches of standing water in our basement.  Something to do with a safety valve on the furnace.  It's always great coming home to a flooded basement.

Hope you all have a wonderful week!

  4. Her eyes are so beautiful I don't know why she'd want them to be any other color! Peyton told me the other day I'm the only one in our house that doesn't have brown eyes and asked why I don't want to be like everyone else. She looked at me like I had cooties because my eyes aren't brown!
