I heard there was a pet party going on! I can't miss the chance to join in and share our love for Obi. Plus, I know we have the most beautiful golden retriever in the entire world and I want to show him off!
Obi is loved by all of us more than words could ever describe. Obi came into our family in October 2006. This is his first trip to the park.
He was hiding between Christopher's legs because he was scared of the wind! We all love and adore Obi and have since day 1. I believe Chris and Obi are truly best of friends. They both equally are obsessed and love each other in a can't-eat-without-you kind of way.
Here is Obi watching his first snow fall. (Well, he was watching his first snow fall until I distracted him with the camera)
Obi is the smartest dog ever (all thanks to Chris!) He doesn't even get on the couch unless invited. He gets too excited when people come over to the house. He is great with some guests, but the guests that obviously don't know what to do around a dog - the put their hands up in the air and say his name trying to calm him down. Hmm, yea this only gets him a thousand times more hyper, he thinks you are playing with him!! He learned very early on not to play rough with Chloe. They have a sweet cuddly relationship....
We bring him with us every where we can. From car rides
to hiking
and swimming.
Obi loves playing fetch with us in the park and lounging around after a picnics.
He isn't very good on the leash when we all go as a family, he is just too excited he can't contain himself. This doesn't stop Chloe from trying to walk him
He always gets away...
Obi is the best friend we could ever ask for.
I will keep you posted as to when I will be doing features. I have started some on Fridays...but they will be random.

ReplyDeleteOh my - I love Obi. And I know what you mean - golden retrievers can be the best of friends. My husband and I have two boy golden's - and they follow him around like loyal followers. Hi Obi! Buddy and Sophie here. You look like you would be a nice friend! It looks like you have lots of space to run, and that seems to make you very happy. We really like your "ginger" hair. I (Buddy) have an obsession with balls, and I would bet we would have a lot of fun chasing one if we ever met.
ReplyDeleteI have a soft spot for Goldens. My very first dog after I got married looked just like him. He even moved to Germany and back with us. Obi is just gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteAren't goldens the greatest! It's like they are human. Your Obi is way beyond gorgeous! Quite the treasure!
ReplyDeleteObi looks so happy and content with his his family! What a lucky dog. I'm visiting from Debbiedoos- I'm a pet portrait artist and I'm having a pet portrait give away that I wanted to invite you to. Also, I was checking out your before and afters, I love the good will dresser- is that the chalk paint that everyone is raving about? It came out great! I'm your newest follower.
ReplyDeletePrecious Obi! i have a golden too - they are so wonderful. Your photos are fantastic!
ReplyDeleteObi is Beautiful! You can see the special bond he has with your daughter. :)
