Girly Desk Makeover

This cute little desk was given to me by a friend/colleague.  It was perfect size for Chloe's room.  Since the dressers and beds where white, it felt like too much white.  
Try and ignore the terrible lamp shades in the above picture.... they are gone now while I hunt for the perfect lamp shades.  Since Chloe's room obviously has a purple theme going on, we thought it'd be fun to paint the desk a shade of purple.  I let Chloe pick the color. I wanted a shade lighter but she chose this
and we are both happy with it.  I'm glad to finally get "paint Chloe's desk" crossed off of my to do list.  Have you painted anything lately?  If so, tell me about it and don't forget to share it at the paint party! Pin It

    The desk and chair are adorable! How lucky that she has 2 beds in her room~perfect for sleepovers! :)

    We think alike! I painted my daughter's antique desk a light purple recently. I bought the exact same little flower drawer pulls that you used.

    This is a great space for your little girl - it looks wondeful!

    WEll your daughter has good taste as that seems just the right shade of purple to highlight the desk from the walls.

    Ah, yes, purple is 'the' color for all young women, isn't it? It's just darling. I bet she just loves her desk, too!

    Erika, I love the darker purple. It really pops instead of blending in with the walls. Love the little book rack. I would love to see a link to the party, please so others can find it and join in.
