Happy St. Patrick's Day!
It's my plantiversary! I'll always love shamrocks... it was my very first plant.... given to me on St. Patrick's day 2008 from my boss (at the time). Below is the same shamrock she gave me a few years ago, and how it looks now now...
It is still growing strong and gorgeous as ever! Shamrocks fueled my love for house plants... now three years later (is that all?) I have dozens of plants all over my house and office.
Here are just a few more pictures of some of my blooming plants. Check out this African Violet, given to us in 2009 as a house warming present (for the last rental we lived in).
It has been blooming non-stop for months and looking gorgeous!
My begonia is still growing like crazy too, check her out...
My love for plants began with my love for shamrocks.... they are incredible hardy and impossible to kill. Although... everyone I have given them to has managed to kill them. (They just don't take the time to understand them I guess.) Hope you all have a fantastic St. Patrick's day, drink some green beer and have fun!

ReplyDeletewell all be! I'd never actually seen a shamrock before! Pretty sure I didn't even know they were an actual plant! You have educated me, so thank you!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if shamrocks grow in my country. But I find them beautiful in your pictures and of course the flowers are equally lovely.
ReplyDeleteI laughed after reading this line,
"they are incredible hardy and impossible to kill. Although... everyone I have given them to has managed to kill them. (They just don't take the time to understand them I guess.)"
Not everyone has the gift of having green thumb perhaps. ;-) You are lucky to have it.
Thank you for this wonderful post.
I can honestly say that I have never seen a shamrock plant like that. How beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteI love your shamrocks and plants! Is that a greenhouse window I spy? I have always wanted one. :D
ReplyDeleteWow! You sure have a green thumb, I have a African violet that is about 4 years old but it doesn't look as good as yours:0
