The Good, The Bad and The Not-So-Ugly

The good:

Benjamin's has more or less "graduated" from physical therapy for his torticollis.  He no longer has to go every other week. He goes again in 6 weeks for a follow-up visit just to double check his progress.  Yay!

The bad:

Despite aggressive repositioning and physical therapy since 2 months of age, the plagiocephaly (flat spot on right side of his head) is not getting any better.  He was recommended to a specialist who recommended he begin a cranial remolding orthosis treatment program (meaning he has to wear a helmet).

The helmet will help his head round out as he grows over the next few months. He will have to wear the helmet for 23 hours out of the day for the next 2 - 5 months (depending on his progress).

The not-so-ugly:

Could he be any cuter?
(I think not!)

  2. He definitely is a little cutie! His helmet is just another part of him for the next few months. Hopefully, everything will go smoothly and he'll be out of it before you know it.

    Those smiles make everything better!
