I am going to show you some before and afters of Chloe's room. I don't really like to call them afters, more like before and now pictures because there is always a little something more to add.
This was how her room looked when we first moved in.
Chloe picked out the color!
This is after we painted and rearranged...
I ended up painting the bookshelf white and moved it to the family room.
After a lot of little tweaks here and there.... including this pottery barn rug that was given to us (score!!)
(Whoops, I forgot to pick up that piece of trah off the floor... and is that something hiding under the bed?!)
I painted this cute little stencil on the wall...
I made this for Chloe for Christmas (my first cross stitching project)!
I just love the name decals and little book shelf (gifts from Chloe's grandma)!
I bought the desk from a friend for $10 and painted it purple.
(Imagine the bed spreads not being all wrinkled!)
I finally bought some canopies....
There is always something more to do... but her room has come a long way! Thanks to some wonderful people in our lives, most of what you see was given to us from family and friends and we did not spend a lot to make Chloe's room girly and coozy.
Can't believe it's already Wednesday. I have been lazy in the project area lately. Need to make a trip to Goodwill or look around Craigslist for some projects. What have you been up to this week?

Wow what an adorable change. What a score to be given a pottery barn carpet in the exact colour she chose...it looks soooo cute!
ReplyDeleteOh I think the darker purple desk inbetween the chests with the darker letters of her name was very clever, it looks really well done.
ReplyDeleteLove this, what a fantastic transformation!
ReplyDeleteWarm Wishes,
Jodie
PS The framed "Let It Bee" is Adorable!

Her room is so beautiful. I love the rug and bedspreads. It is so girly!! I also think the cross stitching thing you did for her turned out amazing! You plan on doing any more of those?
ReplyDeleteSo pretty!! And that cross stitching thing turned out really good, especially considering it was your first time!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful room, can I ask what the dimensions of her room are? I have two girls aged 2 and 4 (almost, birthdays in August) and I have contemplated having them share a room, but am concerned how much room I would need to have in order to fit two twin beds the way you have here with a little nightstand in between.
