My Little Reader

A part of me is ashamed while the other part of me is proud to admit that I think Chloe has already read more in her lifetime than I have read in my lifetime.  This kid is addicted to reading. She is usually in bed by 8, with lights out by 8:30.  On weekends or breaks from school she gets to read as late as she wants! She thinks this is the greatest thing ever!  She is enjoying her Spring Break so far.  I often find she has fallen asleep like this:

She is a chapter and a half away from finishing the 3rd Harry Potter book.  I really like that she is reading these books because they are nice long books that challenge her and she is interested in them.  Plus it is always fun to read a book and then watch the movie.

I'm so proud of my baby and her passion for reading!

    That is too cute! I can't believe she's reading Harry Potter books already! A little librarian or writer in your future, perhaps?

    Oh how great is that? With all the technology about these days I love seeing kids read- lets hope it becomes a real passion for her in the future- there's so many books for her to discover :D

    Yea! That is so something to be proud of- I hope my kids love reading like that. My son is a pretty good reader but doesn't just seem to really love it yet- he loves being read to there, so still hoping it will come.

    Reading is a good hobby. Your little one cultivates this is great. Her reading, writing and thinking must be creative. You must be proud of her.

    That is awesome! I would imagine this love of reading will stay with Chloe always. You must be a proud Mom.

    My daughter was the same way when she was younger and now at 14 yrs. old, she still devours books, the harder and more challenging the better. She's even been known to read with a dictionary nearby in case she needs it!

    I love it! That is how I spent most of my younger years. I have 4 great readers but one who doesn't enjoy reading at all and it makes me crazy!

    My son highly recommends the Leven Thumps books for Harry Potter fans. He's even met the author - just a little FYI if you're looking for a next great series when she's done with HP!

    A girl after my own heart! I have been a reader since I was very young. I love the Harry Potter series, too! The third book in the series is my favorite.

    Hi, I have so many pictures of my kiddos falling asleep with books, I Love that! I am a Parent Liaison and am always pushing reading, if your child Loves to read it makes all the difference. I feel the earlier they start the better, i've read to my children while they were in my tummy and now that they are growing (9 & 13) I am sad that they read alone but still curl up with them most nights to read with or to them. I find they still love it. and I Love it more : ) good for you momma you have done good!
